Movie Chain, explained
You are given two actors. Connect them through films they appeared in together, using as few hops as possible. A hop is one shared film. Every link is checked against real credits, so there is always a genuine path — if you cannot find one, it exists and you have not found it yet.
The objective
Reach the target actor. You can build from either end — start from the first name, work back from the target, or both at once. Meeting in the middle is far cheaper than marching across.
Scoring
Fewest hops wins. A valid four-hop solution beats an unfinished three-hop idea, so lock in a chain first and optimise afterwards if you still have appetite.
Streaks
Solving the daily puzzle extends your streak. Practice rounds are unlimited and do not affect it, which makes practice the right place to learn the pool.
Three tactics that solve most puzzles

Work from both ends
List three crowded films for each actor and look for an overlap. Two steps out from each end covers far more ground than four steps out from one.

Learn the hubs
Every industry has prolific actors who connect to almost everyone. Any two actors are often three hops apart through one of them, even when no direct route is obvious.

Find the bridge first
For cross-language pairs, stop searching for a film and search for a person with real careers in both industries. Then connect each end to them separately.
Questions people ask
How often does the puzzle change?
Once a day. Everybody gets the same pair of actors, so the comparison is against other players solving the same problem rather than against a clock.
What counts as a valid connection?
A film both actors actually appeared in. Every link is validated against real film credits, so a connection you half-remember will be rejected if it did not happen.
Which film industries are included?
Indian cinema across Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam and pan-India releases. Cross-language puzzles are solved through actors with genuine careers in more than one industry.
Is there a way to practise?
Yes. Practice mode gives unlimited rounds that do not affect your streak or your position on the games leaderboard — it is where you build the mental map of hub actors that makes the daily puzzle quick.

A free account is needed to play and to keep a streak. It costs nothing and requires no payment details.
